Yaadcore is in a Rasta Time season. His new single and video "Rasta Time" is the title track of his upcoming EP, with the video directed by Jesse James and shot in the hills of Trelawny, Jamaica, following him through the countryside in search of ital food and good vibes. Released during Black Music Month, the song reflects on the legacy of Emperor Haile Selassie and the long influence of Rastafari on lifestyle and wellness. It is a Jamaica and Africa link-up, built on a rhythm from Nigerian producer Jayscilla with guitar from Christopher Campbell, then mixed and dubbed by River Nile, son of Cleveland Browne of Steely & Clevie. Daily Reggae named it Song of the Week.

It caps a busy run. Earlier in 2026 he teamed with Spirit Revolution, the project of French brothers Vincent and Romain Pierré, on "13 Months," cut over a riddim they handed him in Jamaica. Recent releases also include "Look What I've Become," "Sitting In The Park," and "Bredda Bredda" with Jahshii, along with "Lock The Street" alongside Kabaka Pyramid and Third World Don.

Born Rory Cha, Yaadcore learned to play sound as a boy in Mandeville, following his father, a selector with the local sound system Love People International. He started DJing at 14, went on to tour as Protoje's DJ, and co-founded the Dubwise Jamaica sound system, whose weekly events helped bring a new wave of roots reggae mixed with dancehall, dub, and hip-hop to the surface. Vogue named him an essential player in Jamaica's new reggae movement. His 2022 debut album Reggaeland hit the iTunes Reggae chart in its first week, and the sold-out vinyl now trades for over $100. Along the way he has recorded with Lee "Scratch" Perry, Sizzla, Capleton, Richie Spice, and Bun B of UGK, and "Ghetto Youths" is approaching 5 million YouTube views.

On stage, he has played Cali Roots, Reggae On The River, 9 Mile Music Fest, the Welcome to Jamrock Cruise, and Red Bull Notting Hill, and joined Ky-Mani Marley, Alborosie, and Iba Mahr for "One Love" at Rototom Sunsplash 2025. Off the stage, he has modeled for Adidas, released a merch collaboration with Diamond Supply, and partnered with Leafly.

The selector who helped launch a generation of reggae artists is now making the case for himself, one Rasta Time at a time.
